OTF stands for "Out the Front". These knifes open, close, and lock from the topend (front) of the handle. See it in action in the video section.
Most likely the answer is "no". If the blade encounters extra ordinary resistance when opening, the blade will not lock in the open mechanism. To fix, pull the blade out with your fingers and it should engage with the spring mechanism and function normally.
