1Hand Knives in different colors and different blade types

Our Story

Growing up in rural Texas, knives were a common and everyday tool. Every morning, when I got dressed, I would put my pocket knife in my pocket and head out. Most of the time, my "heading out" was to school, and despite the rules, I always seemed to have my pocket knife.

One day, my older brother came home from school with a "switchblade" and I was in awe. It was the coolest thing I had ever seen. From word of mouth (this was before the internet), I learned (or was told) that switchblades were illegal to own. This scared me as a boy, but didn't stop my fascination and fixation on the knife.

Fast forward to my "adult years" where I actually learning about "switchblades" or automatic knives. Well, it turns out the laws are up to each state, and fortunately, I live in Texas. This sparked my search and acquisition of various types of knives, including standard pocket knives, spring-assisted knives, and ultimately the coveted “switchblade”. Now, I’m still in the mindset that a knife is an everyday tool, so I couldn’t justify spending the money most of the companies wanted for their OTF knives. I also didn’t want to be weighed down by these knives that were made with Zinc Alloy handles. So when I decided to sell my own knives, I knew they had to be functional, reliable, light, and reasonably priced. I think we have accomplished that with 1Hand Knives. Give one a try and I think you will agree.
